This line of research considers the transnational transfer of models, ideas, knowledges, and technologies in the fields of architecture, urban planning, construction industry, etc. It looks at how different geographical and cultural contexts have interacted from the 18th century to today, and how these interactions have led to hybridized products or produced frictions or rejections.

It also takes into consideration the relations of power that have characterized these phenomena of transfer and exchange and their impact on the shaping of contemporary society.
