Environmental History of Architecture

Supervisors: Filippo De Pieri; Sergio Pace; Luca Caneparo

The theme brings research and doctoral dissertations to engage with those tendencies of international research that have recently brought environmental and resource issues to the center of architectural and urban history.

Questions related to the environmental crisis have acted as a powerful factor of renewal in historical studies, leading to the observation of new objects, the experimentation of investigative practices, the construction of novel interdisciplinary perspectives, and the formulation of different forms of exchange between research, teaching and public dissemination of knowledge.
