Biography

I am a Doctoral Student at the Department of Energy, Politecnico di Torino, with a focus on Applied Nonlinear Control of Grid-Forming converters. I received my Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, NUST, Islamabad, Pakistan.

During my PhD, I have been actively involved in research of power converters, with a focus on renewable energy applications. This has involved working on designing nonlinear controllers for Maximum Power Point Tracking applications in a PV array system, for inverters used in Vehicle to Grid applications and for three phase inverters used in Grid-forming applications. In particular, my thesis is focused on the regulation of Grid-Forming converters in low-inertia grid systems.
