Biography
In July 2020 she completed the Master Degree in Computer Engineering, with Embedded Systems specialization at the Politecnico di Torino. Her MSc Thesis focused on an innovative high accuracy front-end for load mode capacitive sensors for tagless long range accurate sensing of humans in indoor conditions.
She is currently a Phd student in Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino. She works on the characterization and integration of an innovative front-end for capacitive sensors operating in load mode, which improves the rejection of environmental noise, and especially the low frequency drift, thus improving the accuracy of the measurements.
Long range capacitive sensors operating in load mode can be used for indoor person localization. Therefore, they can be used in many location-based applications improving the life quality and safety. The system should be privacy-aware, unobtrusive, tagless, easy to install and requiring very little maintenance, while having high measurement sensitivity, accuracy, and resilience to several types of environmental noise.
