Biography
I graduated in Scientific high school.
Bachelor's degree in Physics and Master degree in Physics of Matter.
Scientific interests: Quantum Mechanics, Applied Mathematics, Quantum Optics, Laser Physics, Statistics.
I attended Modern Optics and Electronics labs, and didactic labs about modern physics.
My master thesis subject was about a simulation and theoretical study about Self Detection s-SNOM, a nanoscopy technique which combines Self-Mixing Interferometry in Quantum Cascade Lasers with SNOM. By exploiting this technique, I studied the retrieval of optical properties of Materials with phonon resonances in the Terahertz range, like Cesium Bromide (CsBr).
Currently I am a PhD candidate at Politecnico di Torino and my work is about modelling and simulation of Quantum Cascade Lasers in multimode regime, and the generation of optical frequency combs in this class of devices.
