Biography
In 2012, he visited for 9 months the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), London, UK, where he joined the Antennas and Electromagnetics Research Group. There, he worked on Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) solver for waves propagation in bianisotropic media. His studies in Siena were fully economically supported by the Diritto allo Studio Universitario (DSU) Toscana scholarship. In 2015, he interned for Ingegneria dei Sistemi (IDS) corporation S.p.A., located in Pisa, Italy, where he worked for the Computational Electromagnetics and Antenna Design Laboratory. He mainly worked on the Iterative Physical Optics (IPO) solver for the analysis of electrically large optics and platforms.
In 2016, he has been licensed as a Professional Engineer from the University of Pisa. In the same year, he joined the Istituto Superiore Mario Boella (ISMB) for a research program in reconfigurable antennas and advanced computational electromagnetics. Since November 2016 he is a PhD Student at the Politecnico di Torino and a collaborator of ISMB at the Advanced Computing and Electromagnetics (ACE) laboratory. From September 2017 to June 2018, he has been granted with the Blanceflor Scholarship for a visiting period at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. The project is part of his PhD activities related to advanced computational electromagnetics for Metasurfaces.
His research interest includes integral equations methods, boundary elements methods, periodic structures, layered media, inverse scattering, reconfigurable antennas, metasurface and plasmonic nanostructures.
