Abstract
POLITO developed an antibacterial/virucidal coating demonstrated to be effective against bacteria, fungi and some respiratory viruses, SARS-CoV-2 included. The antibacterial/virucidal coating can be applied by sputtering on every substrate: polymers, glasses, metals, textiles. Technical challenge is to test it for automotive applications: air filters, textiles, internal parts.
