Abstract

The project will achieve the following objectives: Objective 1: Tracing the current state of the art of shop floor logistics in automotive manufacturing plants, with particular attention to press shops. Reviewing main Industry 4.0 technologies. Objective 2: Developing a Digital Twin of the physical and information flows of the whole Press Shop, to investigate how they can be re-engineered to drastically reduce zero non-value added activities. Objective 3: Defining logistics scenarios integrating different Industry 4.0 and material handling technologies. The Digital Twin will enable to assess their impact and achieve the most advantageous B/C ratio.
