Biography

Prof. Francesca Bosco Titles: Degree in "Biological Science", PhD in "Biology and biotechnology of fungi". Date of birth: 12/02/1961 Nationality: Italian Current Position: Associate Professor (ING-IND/24 Principi di Ingegneria Chimica), Faculty of Engineering, Politecnico of Torino, Italy. Research activity Manager of the Biotechnological Laboratory - Department of Applied Science and Technology, her research areas are: fermentation processes for PHA production from lignocellulosic wastes, valorization processes for agro-food industry wastes and by-products, biodegradation processes in microcosm, mycoremediation of contaminated soils, evaluation and control of the biodeterioration on flooded paper material, monitoring and control of microbial contamination in libraries and archives, antimicrobial tests applied to materials, antimicrobial activity of essential oils, Bacterial Filtration Efficiency test.
