Workshop "Effective Visual Communication of Science"

Il workshop, rivolto al personale di ricerca dell’Ateneo, vuole offrire i principi della comunicazione visiva con lo scopo di supportare i ricercatori nella comunicazione chiara ed efficace delle idee progettuali e dei risultati scientifici.

Programma
Sessione mattina 9-13.30 (max 100 partecipanti)

• Communicating with different audiences (including project evaluators)
• Visual perception and what we find intuitive
• Colors: how to amplify, not ‘fancify
• Visual organization: how to structure to simplify comprehension
• Eye-flow: effortlessly guide the audience through the design
• Project proposals: structure and visually enhance to help the evaluator
• COMMENTING ON PARTICIPANTS' FIGURES (submitted before the workshop)

Sessione pomeriggio 14.30-18 (max 25 partecipanti)

• Typography: how to establish legibility, structure and aesthetics
• Visual consistency: how to make multiple figures follow the same style
• EXERCISE: every participant will draw a graphical abstract of their research
• GROUP WORK: participants will try to understand each others' sketches and comment on how to improve them
