Biografia

Michele Errante received his M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (Torino, Italy) in December 2020, spending a period at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Madrid, Spain) as visiting student. His M.S. thesis, titled "RANS Analysis for the Investigation of Secondary Flows in a Linear Low-Pressure Turbine Cascade", was devoted to the study of secondary flows in a linear low-pressure turbine cascade by means of a Discontinuous Galerkin formulation based CFD code. In June 2021, he started a PhD program focused on numerical simulation of turbulent flows in aerospace propulsive systems, during which he completed a semester at Duke University (Durham, NC, USA). His PhD research interests include discontinuous finite element and advanced numerical methods for computational fluid mechanics. In particular, research emphasizes accurate computational methods aimed at reducing the overall design/analysis costs in turbulent and separated flows simulation in the framework of complex geometry systems.
