Biografia

Emanuele obtained his MA in Architecture Construction City from Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino in 2021, thanks to a double degree program between both institutions. The dissertation, titled “COVID-19 as an accelerator of spatial (in)justices: a global comparative project”, researched the uneven impact that COVID-19 has had on different cities (NYC, London, Rome, and Sao Paulo) and the role of urban infrastructure in exposing, directly or indirectly, the less advantaged part of the population to the outbreak. Then, after working for a year as a consultant for institutions connected to UN-Habitat and the World Bank, he enrolled in the Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Development at the Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST) of the Polytechnic of Turin and the University of Turin. He was awarded the Fulbright GS Scholarship and he’s now the recipient of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group Founder’s Scholarship to support his Visiting Research period at UCL. His current research aims to critically examine the relationship between transnational labor mobility, housing and urban infrastructure in the context of a globalized, technology-driven labor market.
