Biografia

My background studies in “Physical Engineering” as BSc and “Nanotechnologies for ICTs” as MSc at the Politecnico di Torino have helped me to prepare a solid background both in the physics and electronic aspects of today devices. My studies allowed me to come into contact with the topic of numerical multi-physical simulations of optoelectronic devices, which I found fascinating and of increasing importance due to the raising cost and complexity of building nanoelectronics prototypes. My thesis was entitled "Non-equilibrium Green's Function modeling of superlattice solar cells" where a novel structure of solar cells behaviour in transport and absorption was modelled an analysed, which are of interested for exotic materials like III-nitrides, interesting for their proporties which makes them ideal candidates for tandem solar cells and space exploration. Therefore, the focus of my research is to continue to develop a complete simulation framework that will allow to optimize these optoelectronic devices.
