Biography

Before pursuing studies in Architecture, I developed a deep interest in the world of music and professional audio, which led me to specialize as a sound and recording technician. After several years of working as a recording engineer, I decided to focus on earning a degree in Architecture with the aim of broadening my skills and opening myself to new perspectives.
Upon completing my master’s degree, I chose to develop a thesis on the acoustic design of open-space offices, with the goal of combining my expertise in acoustics with architectural design. This project garnered the interest of a company, which offered me a doctoral program focused on exploring the topic of acoustic comfort in open-space environments.
My research centers on identifying the most effective acoustic design solutions to improve worker well-being in open-space settings. In the existing literature and regulations, there are several parameters that define the acoustic quality of a workspace, some of which must be adhered to during the design phase. The primary objective of my research is to identify the most relevant parameters for describing acoustic quality and analyze how variations in these parameters are perceived by the occupants of these spaces.
The research project is being developed in collaboration with Ecophon Saint-Gobain, a Swedish company that provides support from high-level scientific experts and supplies essential design materials for the work.
