Biography

Micol Di Vita is a PhD candidate in Management and Production Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. Her research is based on investigating the decision-making process of entrepreneurs. She is expert in quantitative analysis and in experiments conduction. Micol is involved in a PRIN project “SCALE-UP! How to scale up startups: using the scientific method to make organizational design decisions”. She expects results from the impact of the scientific method on the organizational design decisions entrepreneurs make. The effect of mentors on startups decision-making is also expected. The PhD candidate collects data in 18 months. She provides preliminary analyses and strenghtens them at the end of PhD programme. According to her objectives and interest on the research topics, she expects to publish scientific papers and present her findings at conferences. During her PhD, Micol attends Hard skills and Soft skills courses. She also attends external courses in other universities. Micol expects to spend a period abroad at the end of the 2nd year.
