Biography

Since November 2024 Researcher at the Department of Applied Science and Technology of the Politecnico di Torino. Previously research fellow at the same department since April 2021. Post-doc researcher at the Laboratory of Composite Materials for Constructions of the University Claude Bernard Lyon1 from July 2020 to March 2021. PhD with double degree awarded in April 2020 at the University of Salerno and University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (France). Visiting Researcher periods at various foreign research institutes such as: Low CO2 Built Environment Innovation Centre for Sustainable Construction (ICSC), CRH, Netherlands; Centre of Sustainable Materials and Technologies (NUMATS) - COPPE, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Federal Institute for Material Research and Testing (BAM), Berlin, Germany; Laboratory of Composite Materials for Constructions (LMC2), University Claude Bernard Lyon 1, France. He is currently working on supplementary cementitious materials and carbon capture utilization and storage in building materials. He has knowledge on the use of plant fibers in sustainable inorganic matrix composites for masonry retrofitting. Other research topics include timber-concrete composite structures, GFRP pultruded structures, fiber reinforced polymeric composites.
