Biography

Giuseppe was born in Moncalieri in 2001 and completed his high school studies in Puglia, before moving back to Torino to pursue his university education at Politecnico di Torino. He earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Engineering, completing the latter with the highest honours. For his master's thesis, he developed DigiZen, a mobile application focused on digital wellbeing that leverages large language models (LLMs) to provide users with personalised recommendations, daily micro-goals, and motivational feedback. Unlike conventional screen-time tracking tools, DigiZen aims to help young adults build healthier digital habits without imposing rigid restrictions, combining expertise in software engineering and human-computer interaction. In line with this work, Giuseppe is currently pursuing a PhD focused on human-centred AI, exploring in particular how end users can meaningfully guide and personalise the behaviour of agentic interfaces.
