Biography

Giovanni Squillero is a full professor at Politecnico di Torino, Department of Automation and Computer Science. His research combines artificial intelligence and soft computing, with particular emphasis on evolutionary metaheuristics and multi-agent systems; the activities also include the design of approximate algorithms able to achieve acceptable solutions with reasonable amount of resources. The applications of Squillero's work range from electronic CAD to bioinformatics to the cultural sector.
