Giorgio A. Orlando, currently pursuing a PhD at Politecnico di Torino, focuses his research primarily on the Guidance and Control aspects of hybrid drones. These drones belong to a class of aircraft capable of utilizing both vertical takeoff and landing, as well as fixed-wing flight, thereby enhancing endurance compared to traditional multicopters. His research pursuits extend to aeromechanic design and optimization in this field.
