Biography

PhD student in Design and Technology. People, Environment, Systems, in the Department of Architecture and Design (DAD) at the Politecnico di Torino. He obtained a Master's Degree in Architecture for Heritage Preservation and Enhancement at the Politecnico di Torino and the title of Architect at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali (Colombia). He gained work experience as an architect in Colombia, Denmark and Italy, where he worked for several architectural design studios. In addition, he has participated as a researcher in several research projects on the valorisation of the Modern Architectural Heritage of the city of Santiago de Cali (Colombia), from the analysis of the works designed between 1952 and 1963 by the studio ‘Borrero, Zamorano y Giovanelli’ and the consultation of the photographic archive of Otto Moll González, a source of documentation of the modernisation process of Santiago de Cali during the 20th century. He also participated in the study and analysis of the bioclimatic characteristics of a building material produced from the waste of sugar cane production in the Valle del Cauca region (Colombia). The research undertaken as part of the PhD programme concerns the study of the new building materials used in the early 20th century in Italy, intending to set up an information database that can support the documentation, conservation and rehabilitation of the 20th-century Modern Architectural Heritage.
