Biography

Francesco earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin, graduating in 2020 and 2023, respectively. Since late 2023, he has been pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer and Control Engineering within the DAUIN Department at the same university.

During his Master’s studies, Francesco developed a passion for security automation while working on his thesis, which centered on the autonomous and optimized reconfiguration of network security functions. This interest continues to drive his current doctoral research.

Francesco’s research focuses primarily on network security automation and cloud security. His work aims to create advanced solutions that simplify and automate the configuration and management of security services across complex, distributed systems. He is especially interested in tackling challenges related to the resilience and adaptability of security configurations in networked environments. By leveraging automation, Francesco seeks to reduce manual intervention and minimize errors in network security management, ultimately contributing to the development of more secure and scalable infrastructure.
