Biography

I trained at the Polytechnic of Turin, with a major interest in product design during the three-year course and later deepening the discipline through the systemic lens during my master's degree. For the past year and a half I have been collaborating with the Social Design Lab research group, coordinated by Professor Cristian Campagnaro, participating in various research projects on the themes of diversity and social marginalisation. I am in charge of one of the Costruire Bellezza workshops, an experimental community space for co-design and co-crafting, and I am collaborating for the second year as a tutor at the Politecnico in the Design for Food course, by Cristian Campagnaro and Sara Ceraolo, and in the construction of the workshop between design and theatre Palcoscenico.

Today I am engaged in a PhD in Design and Technology in partnership with the social cooperative Animazione Valdocco. This course is strongly devoted to social design, participatory processes and the search for design tools to combat marginalisation.
In the past, I have interspersed my academic training with some professional experience. In fact, I have collaborated several times with Laboratorio Zanzara, a social cooperative and communication studio, which works with people with mental disabilities. I have worked at the Circolo del design in Turin, as logistics manager and cultural production assistant, in particular as exhibit designer for exhibitions and events.

In all my experiences the focus has been on relationships, which elevate the personal discourse of each individual and, in an integrated way, offer opportunities for new community perspectives. In my personal life, I am a theatre actor and contribute to the cultural production of the Umana Fauna association. Recently founded, the group has nonetheless been working for a long time on staging, also in close contact with persons with disabilities, for a truly all-embracing culture that unites.
