Biography
She earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Polito, completing the latter in April 2022 with a specialization in Additive Manufacturing (AM). Her interest in AM began early when she was selected to participate in “TriesteNext”, a national research event that introduced her to AM technologies at the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP). Since then, she has actively participated in training courses, workshops, and conferences related to advanced manufacturing.
Her Bachelor's thesis carried out at the Rapid Manufacturing Laboratory (RMLab), focused on the evaluation of residual stresses in PBF-LB components. During her Master’s studies, she further deepened her knowledge through research activities at the Integrated Additive Manufacturing (IAM) Center. Her final dissertation, developed in collaboration with Prima Industrie, investigated the statistical modeling of single-track geometries in DED processes, enhancing her skills in MATLAB and experimental design.
After graduation, she continued her work at the IAM Center as a research fellow. Her research activities included studying the machinability of Ti6Al4V components produced by PBF-EB. She has also collaborated and continues to work with the Department of Applied Science and Technology (DISAT), gaining experience in materials characterization.
Currently, she is involved in various PRIN projects focused on developing innovative joints between dissimilar materials. Her doctoral research aims to explore multi-material and multi-process manufacturing strategies to produce lightweight, high-performance components with tailored functionalities.
