Biography

Davide Ferretto is Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS). He received the Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2020 with a dissertation entitled “Innovative Model-Based Systems Engineering approach for the design of hypersonic transportation systems”. His research activities include the design of aerospace systems for conventional and innovative aircraft as well as the systems engineering methods and tools. He is currently contributing to the activities of Horizon 2020 Project MORE&LESS, for which Politecnico di Torino acts as Coordinator, dealing with European calls on "Breakthrough innovation" in aerospace domain and "Towards global environmental regulation of supersonic aviation". Previously, he was involved within the activities of Horizon 2020 STRATOFLY Project, dealing with enabling technologies for civil hypersonic flight.
