Biography
In Semptember 2021, she got a position as a Post-graduate Fellow for the design of experimental in vitro model for drug delivery system validation. On January 2021, she began the PhD program in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences under the supervision of Professor Ciardelli and professor Mattu (DM 1061 - NOP 2014-2020 for Doctoral Research programmes with specific reference to Action IV.5 “PhD programmes on sustainability-based topics").
On September 2022 she obtained the State Qualifying Exam at Politecnico di Torino to practice the profession of Industrial Engineer.
Her work is focused on the development of sustainable synthesis techniques to prepare drug-delivery system for metastatic melanoma treatment, that will replace organic solvents with water-based solution, to respond to the increasing need of innovative practices with lower environmental risk, and greener manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry. At the same time, she is developing a 3D printed vascularised melanoma model which will be exploited for the nanoparticles validation to investigate the tumour's response to the administration of therapeutic siRNA and antibody in a more representative tumor microenvironment.
