Biography
After my Master's degree, I obtained a four-month research fellowship at the DISAT department of the Polytechnic of Turin, where I worked on the synthesis of metal-dielectric nanostructures for the development of biochemical assays based on SERS spectroscopy. This technology enables the detection of biological molecules and macromolecules at extremely low concentrations, with significant applications in the biomedical and agri-food sectors.
During this period, I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge and develop a strong interest in materials science and its spectroscopic applications, particularly in Raman and SERS spectroscopy. For these reasons, I decided to continue my academic path by applying for a PhD in Materials Science and Technology at the Polytechnic University of Turin. Consequently, after completing my research fellowship, on 01/03/2025, I began my PhD under the supervision of Professor Chiara Novara, continuing the research activities initiated during my fellowship and focusing on the chemical synthesis of nanoparticles for Raman and SERS spectroscopy applications.
