Biography

Giacomo Gedda is a Ph.D. student in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc., both with honors, from the same institution, graduating with a Master's thesis entitled "Numerical and experimental study of a resonant igniter for rocket engines". Passionate about aerospace propulsion, his current research focuses on modeling centrifugal pumps moved by an electric motor for aerospace applications, conducting detailed Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses of the internal flow of such turbomachines, and dealing with the peculiarities of cryogenic fluids. His Ph.D. program is the result of a collaboration between Politecnico di Torino and Vanzetti Engineering.
