Biography

Bruna Pincegher is an architect, urban planner and a PhD candidate in Urban and Regional Development at the Politecnico di Torino - Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning, where she investigates climate adaptation strategies through the transformation of urban spaces. She is the project manager of DUT MAINCODE – Mainstreaming nature to co-design urban climate shelters in schoolyards, a project focused on transforming schoolyards into Urban Climate Shelters through Nature-based Solutions and co-design approaches, promoting urban regeneration while addressing climate resilience. With a background in urban planning, Bruna actively engages in science communication and international cooperation. Her research supports cities adapting to the growing effects of climate change through place-based strategies that integrate spatial planning, community involvement, and long-term adaptation goals.
