Biography

Martina Maggiulli graduated with honors at Politecnico di Torino with a Master's degree in Architecture for Sustainable Design. Her thesis, entitled "Critical Analysis on Future Developments for the Smart Readiness Indicator Focusing on the Functionality 'Respond to Users' Needs", focused on data-driven approaches applicable to the European Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI). From February to October 2023, Martina worked as a Research Fellow at BAEDA Lab. Her research was oriented towards the Smart Readiness Indicator for buildings, with the objective of developing data-driven strategies to improve this indicator. Since November 2024, Martina is pursuing her PhD as part of a joint program between the BAEDA Lab and the Institute for Renewable Energy of Eurac Research. Her doctoral research is concerned with the evaluation and analysis of the impact of AI-based solutions and services in buildings, with the objective of enhancing the smartness of the next generation of grid-interactive buildings.
