Biography

Letizia Bergamasco received the B.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering in 2018 from Politecnico di Torino and the M.Sc. degree in ICT for Smart Societies in 2020, obtaining also a Double Degree from Politecnico di Torino and Politecnico di Milano within the Alta Scuola Politecnica program. Since 2020 she has been a researcher in LINKS Foundation, where she has participated in different research projects at European and regional level, developing software and artificial intelligence solutions for medical and industrial applications. She is currently a PhD Student in Computer and Control Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, in the SMILIES research group, in collaboration with LINKS Foundation. Letizia's main research topic is about early markers of dementia, with the goal of undestanding if the analysis of facial expressions may represent a non-invasive biomarker useful in the early and differential diagnosis of diverse forms of dementia. Other research activities include the development of algorithms for an automatic evaluation of pain and vital parameters in infants using a camera.
