Biography

Tatiana Mazali is a sociologist interested in communication and media studies, at Politecnico di Torino. She has been teaching since 2004 at Cinema and Media Engineering.

She was visiting researcher at the IN3-Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (UOC, Spain) and at the i-DAT Digital Art & Technology of the University of Plymouth (UK).

His research topics include: languages and aesthetics of digital media, creative and cultural industries (and professions) (ICC), contemporary transformations of work. Since 2016 she has been studying the new industrial paradigm "Industry 4.0".

Since 2007 she has co-directed the platform for digital creativity Officine Sintetiche.

She is the author of numerous articles in national and international journals, four books (with translations in French, English and Japanese). She is a member of the editorial board of the international journal "WOLG-Work Organization, Labor and Globalization"

Research topics

  • Digital culture and work transformations. Socio-cultural analysis of the impacts of digital innovation on production and work processes (some empirical research conducted: Digital Workers, digital creativity professionals, Lagrange fellowship; Industry 4.0 - 2016, 2018, 2020).
  • Digital creativity, languages and aesthetics. Study and analysis of digital media languages applied to cultural and creative production, in some domains: digital arts, digital cultural heritage, immersive cinema.
