Research topics

  • Cartography - Madagascar cartographic projection, datum and coordinates transformation - Historical cartography and cadastre, metrical and informative content, digitalization and GIS integration
  • GNSS, Geodesy and geodynamics GNSS positioning, GNSS network management, deformation monitoring and kinematic data processing. The research was conducted through dialogue with national and international companies and institutions, cooperating in research and commercial projects. The interests in GNSS positioning and GNSS networks evolved towards the study of problems related to deformation monitoring both on a local scale (landslide, glaciers, engineering works) and on a global scale (crostations deformations), acquiring a good experience in geodetic time series analysis.
  • Laser scanning - Algorithms for airborne and terrestrial LIDAR data processing, data filtering, DTM extraction, data clustering, classification and segmentation. - Algorithms implementation in an open source software freely available to the scientific community.
