Research topics

  • Characterization of traditional materials of the architectural and built heritage spread on the territory. Study of mortars, plasters, decorative cements in relationship with local material resources availability. Study of traditional building techniques in relationship with contexts and cultural basins of reference.
  • Reuse of sawing sludge from stone supply chain for the production of innovative materials for building uses. Prototyping of elements through formulations and mix - design of alcaly-activated waste materials, in a multidisciplinary research team capable of focusing research on different thematic insights in relation to the different skills of the team's researchers.
