Biography

Dario Daghero is Associate Professor of Experimental Physics at the Department of Applied Science and Technology of Politecnico di Torino since 2014. He his currently the head of the group TEST-SQUAD- Transport, Electronic Spectroscopy and Theory in Superconducting, Quantum and low-Dimensional materials. His research is focused on experimental physics of condensed matter and, in particular, on superconductivity. The specific fields field of expertise are: 1) investigation of the superconducting gap by means of Andreev relctection and tunnelling spectroscopies; 2) study of the electronic properties of 2D and layered materials by means of magnetotransport measurements as a function of temperature; 3) modulation of the conduction properties of metals, semiconductors and superconductors by means of ionic gating; 4) intercalation of layered materials with ions or molecules through the ionic gating technique.
