Biography

I obtained my Master’s degree in Cybersecurity in October 2025, completing a thesis focused on the intersection between risk assessment models and network security automation. My research examined how quantitative and qualitative risk evaluation frameworks can be systematically integrated into automated network defense mechanisms to improve both reliability and responsiveness in firewall reconfigurations.
Following the work carried out in the Master's course, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN) at Politecnico di Torino, within the research group Networks and Computer Systems Group (NetGroup), under the supervision of Professor Valenza. My doctoral research will investigate the role of threat models in risk assessment and network security automation, with the aim of developing methodologies that enhance the automation and adaptability of network defence strategies. By combining theoretical foundations with applied research, I aim at advancing the state of the art in automated risk-aware network security.
