Biography

I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Chemical Technology and a Master’s degree in Industrial Chemistry at the University of Turin. During my master’s thesis, I completed an internship at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where I worked on the development of a novel synthetic procedure to produce custom-synthesized gold nanoparticles for electrocatalytical applications. I am currently a PhD student (40th cycle) at the Polytechnic of Turin. My research focuses on the synthesis and application of plasmonic nanoparticles for the SERS-based detection of prostate cancer genetic biomarkers in liquid biopsy, as part of an ERC-founded project.
