Biography

Antonio Fronteddu received his bachelor's degree in Physics Engineering in 2020 from Politecnico di Torino. He got in 2023 his master's degree in Nanotechnologies for ICTs at the same University with a master thesis entitled “Multiphysics simulation and design of silicon photonics Ge-on-Si lateral pin waveguide photodetector” focused on simulating the optoelectrical behavior of a specific class of photodetector implemented in Silicon Photonics platforms.

He started his PhD in November 2023 on physics-based modeling of novel Silicon-based tandem architectures for next generation of high efficiency and cost-effective photovoltaic devices. In this perspective, he is currently working on the simulation and modeling of textured perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells based on heterojunction bipolar transistor architecture.
