Biography

Amirehsan Charlang Bakhtyari is a PhD student at Politecnico di Torino (40th cycle, academic year 2024-2025), enrolled from November 2024 to October 2027.
He earned his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tabriz, Iran, before pursuing a Master's degree in Civil Engineering - Infrastructure and Transport Systems at Politecnico di Torino, where he graduated in July 2024 with a final grade of 104/110.
His Master's thesis, “Vulnerability Analysis of Road Traffic Networks in Case of Simulated Extreme Events”, investigated the vulnerability of road transportation systems under flood disruption scenarios.
Currently, his doctoral research focuses on the vulnerability of road networks to extreme events, aiming to advance knowledge in the fields of transportation resilience, safety, and sustainability.
