Biography

I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from "Politecnico di Torino" in 2019, where I got hooked on the world of energy. This interest led me to dive deeper into renewable energy during my Master's in Energy and Nuclear Engineering, which I completed in 2021.

One of the key focuses was on "Renewable Energy Systems," where I explored innovative ways of generating energy. These systems, particularly the photovoltaic ones, caught my attention, and I dived into the depths of PV technology in the "Solar Photovoltaic Systems" course held by Prof. Spertino.

For my thesis, I collaborated with Solbian Energie Alternative S.r.l., a company working on flexible and lightweight PV modules. Guided by my mentors at Politecnico di Torino, I worked on developing a Watt meter to test a DC/DC converter for a solar electric car. It was my first hands-on experience with real equipment, and it opened my eyes to the practical side of what I'd been learning in theory.

Now, I'm deep into my Ph.D. journey at Politecnico di Torino, where I'm focused on the diagnosis and characterization of photovoltaic systems. I'm also proud to have received the Best Presentation Award at the SUN2C scientific school in November 2023.

Looking ahead, I'm set to broaden my horizons as a visiting Ph.D. student at EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland, from March to September 2024. This exciting opportunity allows me to collaborate with experts in the field and learn from different perspectives.
