Biography

Luca Niero is a PhD candidate in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, conducting research focused on the design and validation of robust guidance and control strategies for Rendezvous and Docking missions involving small satellites. He earned his Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering with honors (110/110 cum laude) at the same university, following the Space track.

He gained experience as an AOCS Engineer and Mission Analyst within the CubeSat Team at Politecnico di Torino, contributing to the development of control systems for nanosatellites and to the study of the ELECTRA mission, selected for ESA’s Fly Your Satellite! Design Booster program. He also participated in two ESA Academy excellence programs, enhancing his international training, and carried out research on the design of small satellite constellations, presenting scientific publications at international conferences.
