AI ACT AND ITS REPERCUSSIONS ON RESEARCH AND FUNDING PROGRAMMES

The Brussels Hub, in collaboration with the RIMIN Department, organizes its first event on ‘’Special Talks from Brussels’’ on the AI ACT with Martin ULBRICH - Policy officer at the European Commission DG CNECT. During this 1-hour event, the AI Act state of play, the world's first legislation on Artificial Intelligence, will be presented. The AI Act aims to ensure that AI systems in the EU are secure and to stimulate investment in the sector. The regulation is scheduled for adoption by the European Parliament on will be approved at the 10-11 April plenary session of the European Parliament and adopted by the European Council on 11 April. The legislation will officially enter into force 20 days after its publication in the Official Journal of the EU. How will this affect research and funding programmes such as Horizon europe?
