Infoday PRIN 2020
The online infoday, organised by the Research Area and open to the University staff, is aimed at presenting the features of the PRIN 2020 call for proposals and providing clarifications. Through this call, the MUR is funding Research Projects of Significant National Interest (PRIN) to promote the national public research system, strengthen interactions between universities/research bodies and encourage Italian participation in initiatives relating to the European Union's Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. The projects can address issues related to any research field within the three research macro-sectors defined by the ERC (LS - Life Sciences; PE - Physical Sciences and Engineering; SH - Humanities and Social Sciences).
The next PRIN call is a single call for the three-year period 2020-2022 with annual allocations and opening windows. The resources available for the 2020 call amount to 178 million, of which 17.8 million are reserved for PI under 40 years of age at the date of the call (29 October 2020). The allocation for the 2021 and 2022 openings will be increased by 250 and 300 million respectively.
The deadline for the 2020 call is 26 January 2021 at 3 pm.
The call and the annexes are available on the ministerial portal https://prin.miur.it/.
Please note that the documentation of the call, FAQs and a template to simulate the construction of the budget are available on the Research Area intranet. Requests for information and clarifications can be sent to prin@polito.it.
