Research Data Management: A short course for PoliTo Researchers

Open data is one of the pillars within open science as well as one of the goals of the Politecnico di Torino’s Strategic Plan “PoliTo4Impact”. It was addressed by a specific pilot programme in Horizon 2020 and it will play a major role in Horizon Europe, the next European Framework Programme (2021-2027).

This course explores the topic of Research Data Management - i.e. the way of managing research-based data and their dissemination (when possible) – necessary to enable open data. It focuses on FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and on how to draft a Data Management Plan, the document used to plan data management and its related actions.

The course is held by Shalini Kurapati, Open Science Fellow at Politecnico di Torino, who gained extended experience on research management while working at the Technical University di Delft.

The course is intended to researchers of Politecnico di Torino selected by Departments.
