PoliTO Spin-Off Demo Night, the first event dedicated to academic entrepreneurship
The PoliTO Spin-Off Demo Night, the first event entirely dedicated to academic entrepreneurship of Politecnico, has just ended. The event attracted over 140 guests, including members of spin-offs from Politecnico, researchers focused on developing entrepreneurial skills, investors, innovation players, and partner companies of the RETE ecosystem.
An evening that combined valuable content and a concrete look at the future of technological entrepreneurship born from the academic context. With a clear objective: to create an opportunity to connect those who innovate with those who can support innovation. The result was positive; several innovative companies born from research projects developed at Politecnico had the opportunity to present their ideas to an attentive and qualified audience, composed of investors, ecosystem players, and other key players in the industrial landscape.
The format, based on the presentation of entrepreneurial projects and a subsequent networking phase between participants, encouraged the dialogue between initiatives born from research developed in the academia and the various players in the ecosystem, helping to strengthen a network dedicated to entrepreneurship that is increasingly active and interconnected. A network from which connections, ideas, and collaborations have begun to form that will be able to generate value for the future of the innovation ecosystem, not only in Turin but also nationally and internationally.
The Vice-Rector for Scientific and Technological Innovation Giuliana Mattiazzo underlined the strategic importance of the initiative, declaring: “The PoliTo Spin-Off Demo Night represents a fundamental moment for Politecnico. We wanted to create an event that was not only a showcase for our spin-offs, but a real meeting point between all the different actors of the entrepreneurial ecosystem: from academia to businesses, from investors to startups. The response was extraordinary and confirms that we are building a solid, collaborative, and impact-oriented ecosystem”.
The event demonstrated not only the potential of young innovative companies born at Politecnico, but also the concrete desire of the territory and the entrepreneurial system to network, support innovation, and bet on the future.
With this first edition, Politecnico strengthens its role as an innovation hub, capable of attracting and connecting all the actors of technological and entrepreneurial development. A starting point, therefore, for new editions and increasingly ambitious initiatives.
