Politecnico di Torino welcomes the delegation from the Nagoya City Council
A bridge between Torino and Nagoya was further strengthened yesterday, when a delegation from the City Council of the Japanese city visited Politecnico di Torino, in a meeting dedicated to new opportunities for academic and cultural cooperation.
The visit was part of a broader mission, within the framework of the partnership that has united the two cities since 2005.
The delegation from the Nagoya City Council was represented by Yuichi Tanabe, Vice Chairperson of the Nagoya City Council, Shigeru Yoshida, Masahiro Yamada, and Kazuhiro Kondo, members of the Nagoya City Council, and Okochi Tsuyoshi, from the Nagoya City Council Secretariat.
The guests were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for International Affairs Alberto Sapora, who presented Politecnico and its educational opportunities, and professor Carlo Cambini of the Department of Management and Production Engineering-DIGEP, and member of Executive Board of Japan Hub, who briefly illustrated the activities of the Japan Hub.
During the meeting, the guests asked questions about the difficulties encountered in the student exchange between Italy and Japan and possible strategies to solve these problems in the future.
The delegation had the opportunity to meet Manatsu Shimojo and Kanon Matsuzaki, two Japanese students attending Politecnico, who shared their mobility experience with the delegation members.
The guests were very impressed by the campus visit and Politecnico's efforts to intensify relations between Italy and Japan.
