A2A, the second-largest hydroelectric producer in Italy with 20 major dams, is highly committed to continuous improvement, safety, and environmental sustainability. The subject of the Tech Talk will be the revamping of the Prestone (SO) hydroelectric plant.
Specifically, the talk will cover the electro-mechanical modernization of the power station, extraordinary maintenance activities on the civil, mechanical, and electrical structures of the Isolato Dam, as well as sediment removal operations from the reservoir.
In addition, the presentation will outline the preliminary environmental investigations required for the drawdown activities, the methods of intervention, and post-operam monitoring.
The speakers will be Davide Marabelli, Electrical Engineer; Laura Turconi, Environmental and Land Engineer; and Francesca Vigliocco, Civil Engineer.
