Biography

Daniela Antonelli obtained her Master’s Degree in Building Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino in 2025. Her academic background is characterized by a strong focus on the integration of digital technologies within the construction sector, with particular emphasis on Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Following her graduation, she was awarded a research fellowship focused on the application of BIM and AI in construction processes. She is currently enrolled in an Executive PhD (Apprenticeship) in collaboration with Secap S.p.A., where her research addresses the development of data-driven approaches for construction site management. The project aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce reliance on manual activities, and support decision-making processes in complex and dynamic environments.
The doctoral research specifically focuses on the development of an integrated framework based on Building Information Modeling (BIM), Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning techniques, aimed at the automated extraction, structuring, and analysis of heterogeneous data generated throughout the life cycle of construction projects.
The overall objective of the research is to contribute to the transition toward more intelligent, automated, and data-driven construction site management systems, capable of effectively supporting operational decision-making.
