Biography
Holding a Master of Science degree in "Civil Engineering - Structures and Infrastructures" from the same institution, Ward conducted numerical investigations on Cold-formed steel bolted moment connections for his MSc research thesis.
Ward's exceptional academic achievements earned him the prestigious Italian Government Scholarship MAECI for the academic years 2019/20 and 2020/21. Prior to his doctoral studies, he gained two years of practical experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer, focusing on the analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures.
Ward's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Damascus, where he graduated with Distinction, ranking in the top 1% of his class.
His diverse areas of interest include steel connections analysis and design, Cold-formed steel framing systems, modular construction, structural seismic studies, design of steel and reinforced-concrete structures, and dynamic analysis and design of structures and bridges.
