Biography

Associate Professor at Politecnico di Torino, specializing in numerical analysis, optimal control, PDEs, mean-field models, and high-performance computing. Since 2022 he has been Associate Professor at Politecnico di Torino. Previously, he held research positions at the University of L’Aquila, INSA Rouen (France), RICAM – Austrian Academy of Sciences (Austria), ENSTA ParisTech, and Imperial College London. He has also been a visiting researcher at several international institutions, including the University of Waterloo, KAUST, the University of Mannheim, and PUC-Rio. He has served as Principal Investigator for international projects on mean-field games, traffic modeling, and numerical simulation, and has participated in several national PRIN research projects. His research focuses on mathematical models for collective dynamics, transportation networks, differential games, Hamilton–Jacobi equations, and advanced numerical simulations. He has extensive teaching experience in undergraduate, master’s, and PhD courses in Numerical Computing, Applied Mathematics, PDEs, and Control Systems at Politecnico di Torino and other European universities. He earned a PhD in Mathematics from Sapienza University of Rome in 2012 with a dissertation on Hamilton–Jacobi equations. He also graduated with honors in Mathematics for Applications and in Mathematics. Author of numerous international publications in journals such as SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, and Dynamic Games and Applications, he also serves as reviewer for leading scientific journals in applied mathematics and control theory. In addition, he regularly organizes international conferences and seminars in numerical analysis and optimal control. Languages: Italian (native), English (C2), French (C1). Technical skills: C/C++, MPI, MATLAB, Mathematica, Maple.
