Biography

Leonardo Iannucci is currently Assistant Professor with the Department of Applied Science and Technology at Politecnico di Torino. He received the PhD in Metrology cum laude in 2019 from Politecnico di Torino, defending the thesis titled 'Measurement techniques for microbial corrosion assessment'. From November 2020 to July 2021, he was a visiting researcher at EPFL (Neuchâtel, Switzerland) in the Integrated Circuit Laboratory (ICLAB), under the supervision of prof. Sandro Carrara. His main research fields are electrochemical measurements for materials characterization, corrosion science, development of organic coatings for corrosion protection, conservation of cultural heritage, and electrochemical techniques for biomedical applications. Research interests include also the development of innovative and portable instrumentation for electrochemical measurements. From 2017 to 2019 he was Chair of the Politecnico di Torino IEEE Student Branch. Since November 2021 he has the office of Scientific Secretary in the IMEKO TC24 on Chemical Measurements. Since June 2022 he is a member of the Acta IMEKO Journal Editorial Board. Since October 2024 he is Associate Editor in ‘Measurements’ and ‘Measurements: Sensors’ journals.
